You’re getting this because you either subscribed on my old website, came to a show, supported a project, or you just genuinely rock with me. Either way — thank you. I’m officially moving everything over here to Substack. Tour dates, updates, unreleased work, and special films will live here now. No more chasing algorithms. This is mine. And if you’re here, it can be yours too.
Who Am I? Let Me Reintroduce Myself
I’m Nore Davis.
I’m a comedian, writer, and actor — a lover of the arts and theater.
Born and raised in New York. Retired MJ fan.
I love all sports, but I don’t gamble on them.
And I love every place in the world that loves me back.
I’m a Toys“R”Us kid who pays taxes.
A spreader of love and healing.
Graduated from the school of hard knocks, with a master’s from Bell Hooks/Toni Morrison University.
I’m anti-capitalism, but I still play Squid Games in this vending machine of a country called America.
I’m anti-patriarchy. Shoutout to the emotional dudes with all the feelings, holding it down like Mobb Deep’s Shook Ones.
I’m anti-white supremacy… shoutout to the Jim Browns out there fighting and supporting Black lives.
I’m a silly nerd through and through.
Team TMNT. Raphael all day. Knuckles from Sonic. Vegeta from DBZ.
My couple goals? Future Wolverine and Storm. (Which I already have — love you Chelsea.)
I’m a 40-year-old heterosexual Black man with a skincare routine.
I’m pro-Black. Pro-gay love. Supportive of all genders.
My brother is transgender, and I love him dearly —
until he wears my retro Jordans, then I turn into Dr. Umar on him. lol
I’m an advocate for sickle cell awareness.
The son of two scholar parents who carried heavy generational trauma.
But I’m here to cut that cycle. Never healed. Always healing.
I’m spiritual but not annoying about it.
I believe in church, but mostly for the music and the choir.
I don’t go anymore and I’m fine with that.
I’m nonjudgmental. Shame-free.
That’s who I am.
If you come to my shows or subscribe to this Substack, you’re getting all of me — and my inner child, who's my best friend and worst enemy.
I’m loving him through it.
Just trying to be a joyful, honest break from your reality.
Why I’m Here (and Why You’re Getting This)
I’m tired of the algorithm deciding who gets to see me. Tired of folks saying “Damn, I didn’t know you were in my city!” after I posted it and thanked the crowd. I’ve built audiences across IG, Threads, Meta, TikTok — and that’s cool. But this? This feels revolutionary. It’s mine. This is home base now. Where I can post material that may never make it into my act. Where I can write, laugh, heal, rant, and still entertain. If you're here, it’s because I want you in this community. Thank you for riding with me.
Community (aka Who All Gon’ Be There?)
I want to build a beautifully chaotic community. People who are silly, soft, curious, honest, loving, and healing every damn day. People who grew up on ‘90s cartoons, quote Toni Morrison and Bell Hooks, and believe all music deserves its flowers. I want everyone in this space — drag queens and project dudes. Black nerds, healing femmes, emotional men. We all just flesh and bone trying to follow love instead of fear. This is for anybody trying to be real — not perfect.
